Clay, creativity, and connection.

Jungle Pottery is Hawaiʻi’s Volcano Circus’s community ceramics studio at SPACE in Lower Puna. Our classes and studio sessions welcome neighbors of different ages and experience levels to learn pottery and work with clay together.

How the studio grew

The studio developed with support from Hawaiʻi Community Foundation’s Equitable Access Arts & Culture (EAAC) grant. A Kīlauea Recovery Grant supported the studio building, and community support helped us purchase our kiln in 2024.

Empty Bowls, shared support

On April 5, 2025, our Empty Bowls fundraiser brought the community together for soup in handmade bowls, hands-on pottery activities, live music, and a silent auction. The event helped us add three pottery wheels and kiln shelves, giving more people the chance to learn and create at Jungle Pottery.
